Media Effects on Body Image Infographic

Creating this Infographic was fun and interesting. I chose to not use too many images because I was too lazy to cite any and felt I could get carried away with too many pictures. My color scheme was 3 shades of yellow/orange, white, and black. I chose the 3 shades of yellow/orange to create a sense of connection throughout out the infographic. I used black and white when I wanted to emphasize key words and facts.

The Images I did use I thought were iconic and were related to the information given. My layout was pretty simple but has a pattern. I decided to organize it this way because it looked aesthetically pleasing to me. To me, there seems to be a sense of chaos because not everything is in line but at the same time there is enough of a pattern to hold the piece together.

Looking back I actually really liked playing with the infographic and seeing what looked good and what didn't. Using color theory and basic shapes to create an aesthetically pleasing image. I could see myself in the future using Canva to create flyers and such. I also found a lot of insight using the google scholar search tool. Now knowing of the tool it will be very useful when I need to find accurate sources for research. One of my favorite parts of google scholar is that it automatically gives you citations for 4 or 5 different formats. I definitely will be using scholar in future.
